"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Bishop of the Diocese - Rt Revd Paul Hunt

Picture
The Bishop ensures the smooth running of the Diocese and has many responsibilities, including looking after those churches without a minister, conducting Confirmations, chairing meetings and keeping in touch with his counterpart in the Northern Diocese.  He also finds time to visit each church in the Diocese at least once per year.

Diocesan Secretary -

Revd Robert Wilson

Picture
The Diocesan Secretary records the proceedings of the Synod. He circulates all Synod notices and instructions of the Bishop, and generally assists the work of each Parish as time and circumstances may require. The Diocesan Secretary also helps to organise the twice-yearly Clergy Conference. From time to time the Secretary and Treasurer meet with the Bishop as a Diocesan Staff Meeting to pray and plan for the work of the Diocese.

Home Mission Fund Secretary - Mr John Haynes

Picture
All of our Churches contribute regularly to a range of charities, both within the UK and overseas. In addition, we have a Fund specifically designed to assist Christian mission in our Churches – the Home Mission Fund. The Diocesan Home Mission Fund Secretary is responsible for raising money from the parishes, as well as arranging meetings on behalf of the Fund. The amounts raised are then forwarded to the General Treasurer, where parishes may then apply for financial assistance with their projects.

Prayer Link Co-ordinator -
Miss Lesley Secker

Picture
One of the priorities of the Diocese is to enable all our members to be praying people. The Prayer Link Co-ordinator receives requests for prayer and thanks from anyone in the Diocese, which are then collaborated and distributed to each church within the diocese.

Diocesan Treasurer -
Mr Colin Mills

Picture
The Treasurer receives and deposits in the Bank all the funds of the Synod and keeps a record of all transactions. He collects the annual Parish Quotas. The Treasurer also pays all authorised outgoings. Each year he submits all books and accounts to the appointed Auditor, and then presents a statement of accounts to the Synod and a Balance Sheet annually.

Diocesan News Sheet Editor -

Bishop Paul Hunt

Picture
With churches spread widely around the Midlands and South of England, it is important to share news and keep in touch.  The news sheet editor is responsible for gathering items of interest and sharing them with the diocese.
